Just thought it might be of interest that my wife and I are in the process of renovating our kitchen, using original 50s aluminium English Rose Kitchen units which we are sourcing and restoring.

I'm blogging the whole thing at http://www.englishrosekitchen.co.uk so you can follow the highs and lows of the process. Join us on our journey!

I'm selling a set of Swell dinnerware on Ebay. It has a kind of retro look to it. Check it out if you're interested.

Nov. 22nd, 2006 @ 01:33 pm Christmas Sales Post
Hi Everyone.

I normally try not to post sales stuff in communities, but I'm so proud of these, and their style is relative to the community, so...

My husband is a talented graphic designer with a huge love for all things kitsch. Recently we were browsing through our favorite antique store and came across a vintage, 1950's era felt Christmas stocking with a simple white, but kitschy, image of Santa Clause on it. We were both really inspired by it, but he's the one who really took that inspiration and did something with it. He made Christmas cards!

It started with a digital image he created. He then decided to make a screen print of the image, and created the most wonderful, simple and oh so vintage Christmas Cards.

We're selling them on Ebay now, but if any of you are interested and don't want to go through Ebay to purchase them, just let me know. :)

Hello!

A few weeks ago, I moved to Moreno Valley, CA. It's next to Riverside.

Last night, I finally went out to Riverside to take a look around. There are some really neat examples of googie buildings and signs out there, especially on Magnolia. If you head west towards the Galleria at Tyler, there's this really yummy outdoor diner called George's on the corner of Magnolia and Harrison. Going east, there are several cool signs and buildings. There's also a really cute vintage store by Riverside Plaza.

Fun times!
